ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Umberto Roncoroni was born in Pavia, Italy, in 1956.
He has a degree of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and a master in Computer Science at the PUCP University of Lima
He begun his career as a scenographer at the Teatro alla Scala of Milan. In 1983 started to work in computer graphics, designing
animations for the growing industry of videogames, then for television, multimedia and textile companies.
In the same years he started to investigate the aesthetic of digital technology, developing a library of digital filters for
artistic use in C.
In 1994 he moved to Peru, where he works in the Faculty of Communication of the University of Lima and in the Faculty of Architecture
of the San Martin University of Lima.
Since 2001 he is the curator of the Digital Art Biennale of Lima.
He is married with Veronica, a sculptress, and has a daughter, Lavinia and a son, Adriano.
